File Recovery Assistant ("we," "our," or "the App") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses and processes information when you use its file recovery, file scanning, screenshot cleanup, and contact backup and recovery features.
To provide its core features, the App may access files stored on your device, including photos, videos, audio files, documents, screenshots, and other file types. This access allows the App to scan device storage, help you identify files that may be recoverable, export selected files, and manage screenshots you choose to clean up.
If you use the contact backup or recovery features, the App may access your device's contacts to create a VCF backup, compare contact information with an existing backup, and restore contacts you select.
The App accesses files and contacts only as needed to provide the features you choose to use and subject to the permissions granted on your device.
Information accessed by the App is used to:
The App's core scanning, file management, contact backup, and recovery operations are designed to work with information on your device. We do not collect or upload the contents of your personal files or contacts to our servers as part of these core operations.
The App does not sell your personal files or contact information. Information is not shared with third parties for their own purposes through the core recovery features. If third-party services are integrated into the App, those services may process certain information as described in their own privacy policies.
The App may request access to device storage and contacts when you use features that require such access. On supported Android versions, broader storage access may need to be enabled through your device's system settings.
You can manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. If you deny or revoke a permission, the related feature may not work properly. You remain in control of whether to create backups, export files, restore contacts, or delete selected items.
Files exported or restored, contact backup files, and other items created through the App may remain on your device or in a location you choose until you delete them. The App does not guarantee that every deleted or lost file can be recovered.
You can remove locally stored backup files and exported files using the available device or file management tools. Uninstalling the App may remove some App-specific local data, but it may not delete files or backups saved elsewhere on your device.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of electronic storage or processing is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping exported files and contact backups in secure locations and for protecting access to your device.
The App is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that personal information has been collected inappropriately through the App, please contact us so that we can review the matter.
The App may use third-party services, such as advertising, analytics, or crash reporting services, if integrated into a particular version. These providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Please review the applicable third-party policies for details about their data practices.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, applicable requirements, or our data practices. Any updated version will be made available through the App or the relevant distribution page. The date at the top of this policy indicates when it was last updated.
